Solid Bible teaching is vital
Today in India, there is an average of one pastor for every eight churches. There are 150 Bible schools, but the needs far outweigh the available resources.
According to Patrick Johnstone in Operation World, "The lack of dedicated Christian workers prepared to leave all for the sake of Christ is the biggest factor limiting the growth of the Church in India and causing reservations to Hinduism in rural areas of the country where there is a lack of teaching."
Oasis World Ministries is bridging this gap
Seeing this need, Oasis World Ministries began to provide pastor's training to those who had been involved in gospel festival preparation, prayer, and followup with those who had accepted Jesus Christ during each festival.
Word about this pastor's training quickly spread to Christian leaders of distant regions of India, so Oasis began accommodating leaders both near and far to attend three-day pastors' training seminars.
Today Oasis has trained over 30,000 Christian leaders through pastor's training seminars. Each three-day seminar equips up to 400 leaders to help them reach their world for Christ and disciple people who are new to the Christian faith.
