National Evangelists

Each National Evangelist conducts weekly three-day festivals throughout India's most unreached villages to share the Gospel to people who have not heard. Evangelists reach an average of 5,000-10,000 decisions for Christ each year. That's just $1 a decision!

M Philip

M.  Philip was born and raised in a Hindu home. He was the first one in his family to have received Christ from someone in his village.

When M. Philip was 19 years old, he remembers reading the Bible, and that's when God spoke to him. He realized his idolatry was a waste, and something inside his heart inspired him to pray. At the same time, someone began to encourage him on how to pray.

At first, his parents told him not to believe in Christ. Then six years later, both his mother and father had accepted Christ. Then it spread to his father's six brothers and their families. An entire family has been saved because of Philip's testimony.

Pastor Balysundrum baptized Philip and took him out for ministry. While Philip was reading the Bible, God spoke to him to pursue ministry. He attended Balysundrums Bible School for one year, and then came to APBC in 1996 for more theological training. M. Philip served one year with Rev. Thimothi Rao in Anantapur, and then was sent to Pamidi to pastor and pioneer a church which grew to 300 members before he came to work with Oasis World Ministries. In fact, Oasis World Ministries had built a church facility and drilled a fresh-water well for his village.

Though he was a pastor, Philip was burdened with reaching the people of remote villages with the gospel; he wanted to share the gospel with others in the same way he had come to know Jesus. That's when he decided to become a National Evangelist with Oasis World Ministries.

Through Philip's work as a National Evangelist, he returned to one of the villages where he had conducted a mini-festival and through one man who had received Christ, his whole family of 50 people have now come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

M. Philip is married with a daughter and a son.
