Each National Evangelist conducts weekly three-day festivals throughout India's most unreached villages to share the Gospel to people who have not heard. Evangelists introduce 5,000-10,000 people to Jesus as Savior each year.
Yesu was born and raised in a Hindu family where his father had persecuted the local church and chased the pastor away. His father was not well liked, and as a result, someone had put a curse on him. He became ill and attributed his illness to the curse. Yesu's father sold their house and land; they moved around a lot.
Yesu had worked as a tailor, a fisherman, and other commercial businesses. He lost his eye in an iron accident. When he was in the hospital, a nurse shared her testimony and that's when Yesu received Christ. After that, the curse was broken.
Yesu enjoyed going to the local church to listen to the pastor's message. Over time, his father and family came to know Christ. When our family came to know Christ, He blessed us in every way including financially. In 1995 Yesu became water baptized.
In 1996, Yesu was baptized and his pastor compelled him to do ministry. He became an independent evangelist for four years before becoming an Oasis National Evangelist.
Yesu has a burden for evangelism, and his greatest passion is to lead many people to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He spends two hours each day in prayer, reads his Bible, and shares his faith with 5-10 people a day.
God had called Yesu into the ministry two times. The first time he said, "No," because the pastors preached one thing and lived another. God called Yesu again in 2005, and that time he said, "Yes." God had given him a vision of where he should go and what he should do, so he worked in those places for seven months. There was opposition.
Jesus rebels burned down his home. I fasted for three days and God told me to leave and go to Hyderabad. My wife had a vision that she was serving food to people in the mountains. By that vision, we began a church ministry in Hyderabad and are sure that this is the place where God has called us to be at. This year he was introduced to Oasis World Ministries through a friend. Yesu has a desire for evangelism and is looking forward to the opportunity.
Yesu is married with two daughters and a son.
